Meet Dr. Firas Hamdan: A Visionary Cosmetic Surgeon with a Global Presence
Dr. Firas Hamdan embarked on his medical journey at the esteemed American University of Beirut, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and a Medical Degree in 1991. His dedication to excellence led him to complete two years of internship and residency in General Surgery at Washington Hospital Center, a George Town University Center, where he gained extensive experience in trauma, burn, and critical care patients.
His journey continued with a residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, including a dedicated year to facial plastic surgery at the University of Tennessee-Health Science Center and the Elvis Presley Traumas Center. Dr. Hamdan’s commitment to mastery further extended to a fellowship in Full Body Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery at the University of Florida, where he honed his skills over four years, simultaneously serving as a courtesy clinical assistant professor.
In 1997, Dr. Hamdan established his private practice in Tallahassee, Florida, catering to the north Florida market. However, his quest for sharing his expertise led him to the Middle East in November 2006, where he addressed the growing demand for quality physicians in the field of Cosmetic Surgery. Today, Dr. Firas Hamdan operates in Beirut, Dubai, Kuwait, Riyadh, and Florida, focusing on delivering results that accentuate inner beauty while avoiding the ‘operated look.’
A passionate educator, Dr. Hamdan imparts his knowledge through teaching positions in the region. He holds affiliations with prestigious organizations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association, and American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery.
Since returning to Lebanon, Dr. Firas Hamdan has elevated his skills on national, regional, and international levels. His current affiliations include memberships in the Lebanese Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, Lebanese Order of Physicians, European Association of Societies of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, among others.
Dr. Hamdan’s extensive credentials include board certifications from the International Division of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, World Board of Cosmetic Surgery, and the American Board of Otolaryngology. He has held leadership positions such as Vice President of the International Division of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and Treasurer of the World Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
As a founding member and President & CEO of the Highness Clinics, Advanced Body Sculpture, Wellness and Beauty Center in Dubai and Beirut, Dr. Firas Hamdan continues to shape the landscape of cosmetic surgery. His legacy includes serving as the Chief Surgical Director at the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery Hospital in Dubai and contributing to the Executive Committee of the Lebanese Society of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
